My experience with steroids

So many people have the wrong idea about steroids and the role the play in so many peoples lives. With the recent uproar over the steroid scandal in sports its hard to find the truth between so many lies. There is a misconception behind steroids and I will try and help iron them out through my personal experience using steroids.

Testosterone is the most prevalent compound used today, I will use this in my fact & fiction.

Fiction:
Steroids shrink you dick…

Facts:

  1. Steroids do not shrink your pecker, in most cases it actually can make it larger.
  2. Steroids do shrink your testicles. Steroids simulate natural testosterone production in our bodies. This influx in new test causes your body to shut down natural test production and your testis go into what is called testicular atrophy. This is NOT permanent and your testis will come back after you cycle off with the proper post cycle therapy.

Fiction:
Steroids causes roid rage…

Facts:

  1. Depending on your personality steroids can cause mood swings. Look at it this way… If you are a prick asshole chances are steroids are going to amplify this.
  2. For me it was the complete opposite, I was very mellow and seemed content with most situations while on testosterone ethanate. Even at a high dosage 1000mg’s a week I did not feel angry or the need to kill anyone.
  3. There are certain compounds such as Trenbolone which is said to increase aggression when used. I have been on Tren-A for the last 15 days and I do feel abit on edge but nothing that anyone with a normal mind can’t control.

Fiction:
Steriods will cause me to get bitch tits…

Fact:

  1. Gynecomastia can arise while using steroids. This is something that everyone who does steriods should be prepared for. Mean having the proper medication to treat gynecomastia before you start a steroid cycle. Either you are prone to getting gyno or you are like me, it’s a non issue. One cause of gyno is high prolactin levels.
  2. Treating gyno is easy and most compounds used are easily obtainable through research shops on the internet. You can find a link to a few in the blog navigation. Usual compounds used to treat gyno are pramipexole which is the newest option and seems to be working the best for AAS use. Cabergolone which is a research chem is also known to combat gyno and was the preferred method before the introduction of Caber.
  3. Some people will always have problems with gyno and surgury is usually the only option. Which does not permantly fix the issue and it can come back.

Fiction:

If I take steroids I will look like Ronnie Coleman…

Fact:

  1. For one, most of us do not have the genetic make up to look like the muscle building freaks we see in magazines or on TV. You can not just take steroids and think they will make you bigger. You need to have a very strict workout and diet plan in order. You will not gain shit if you eat like shit and you train like shit… Get some training under your belt, learn how and when to eat then think about doing gear. The only thing you will be doing is hurting yourself in the long run and causing a multitude of problems.
  2. I trained and taught myself how to eat over the last three years before I even though about touching steroids. I added 40lbs naturally over that three year span. Training and diet is everything, I can not stress this enough.
  3. If you have not been able to stick with a routine and contantly fall off the wagon. Pick yourself up, don’t beat yourself up over it. Get right back on and keep riding. It will get easier as it becomes a way of life.

Ok so now that we have just a few of the main issues surrounding steroids covered I will list the compounds I have ran. Which really isn’t that much in the grand scheme of things.

Injections
Testosterone Ethanate - 1250mg’s a week
Testosterone Cypinate - 1000mg’s a week
Testosterone Propinate - 1000mg’s a week
Trenbolone acetate - 350mg’s a week

Orals
Dianabol - 60mg’s daily
Winstrol - 50mg’s daily (just now taking these for the first time this cycle)

Post Cycle Drugs
Clomid - .5mg’s daily
Aromasin - .10mg’s daily
Novledex - .25mg’s daily

Friday night…

Took last night off, my gym closes at 9pm on Fridays for some lame reason. I feel like I am getting a slight cold so taking a day off to rest is a good thing. I will lift on Sunday to make up for taking today off.

First workout posted to the new blog 1/6/09

Working out the last week has been fun, the gym has been packed with resolution hungry people. I am just wondering how many will stick with the plan and not fall back on bad habbits. My guess is the gym should be back to normal within the month.

I do the two day split with Sunday being my off days.

Lots of volume training with little rest in between sets (30 seconds).
